Support
Idunia is operated by Max Output LLC (North Carolina).
This page covers the questions people write in with most often. If your question is not here, email us and a founder will answer.
Contact us
Email founders@maxoutput.ai. We are a two-person company, so you are writing to the people who build the app. Tell us your account email and what you were doing when the problem happened. We aim to reply within two business days, and no later than 45 days for a privacy request such as deletion or a copy of your data.
Cannot sign in
Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen and enter your email. You will see the message “If that email has an account, a reset link is on the way.” That wording is normal and is not an error: we show it whether or not the address has an account, so that nobody can use the screen to discover who has one. Open the link in the email, choose a new password, and sign in with it.
If you used the Google sign-in button on Android and now want to use the iPhone app, use that same Forgot password flow. The iPhone app signs in with an email address and password, so set a password once with the reset link, then sign in with your email and that password. It is the same account and all of your data is there.
Cancel your subscription
You can cancel from either place, and both take effect the same way.
- From inside the app. Open Settings → Account → Manage subscription. This row appears once we can confirm you have a subscription. It opens a subscription-management sheet, and from there you can reach your store's cancellation page.
- From your store, without the app. On iPhone, open the Settings app → your name → Subscriptions and choose Idunia. On Android, open the Google Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions and choose Idunia.
If you are on a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged. Canceling stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, but it does not by itself refund the current period.
Refunds and unexpected charges
If you were charged after canceling, the cancellation most likely landed after the renewal went through. Check the subscription in your store account to see the renewal date and whether it is now set to expire.
- iPhone purchases. Refunds are handled solely by Apple under its policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Android purchases. Refunds are handled by Google and/or us under Google Play's policies. Email us and we will help.
Our full subscription terms are in the Terms of Service.
Restore a purchase
If you reinstalled the app, changed phones, or signed in again and your subscription is not showing, open Settings → Account → See Idunia Pro and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple ID or Google account that made the original purchase, since that is where the store keeps the receipt.
If the button reads Try again instead, the app is still connecting to the store. Give it a moment, tap Try again, and Restore purchases will appear.
Download your data
Open Settings → Privacy & legal → Download my data to save a file containing the data we hold for you. Two things are deliberately not in it. Your cycle and reproductive data is stored only on your device, so it is not part of a server export; keep your own copy with Backup & Restore in Settings, which saves an encrypted backup file protected by a passphrase you choose. Feedback you have sent us, including any photos or screenshots you attached, is also not included: it is stored privately so only we can read it.
Delete your account and data
You can delete your account at any time.
- From inside the app. Open Settings → Account → Delete my account and data, then confirm.
- Without the app. If you have uninstalled Idunia or cannot sign in, use the delete your account page, which explains how to request deletion by email and exactly what is removed.
Deletion is irreversible. Cycle and reproductive data is stored only on your phone and never reaches our servers, so deleting from inside the app also wipes it from that device. An email request cannot reach your phone, so after one you remove it yourself by deleting cycle history in the app or by uninstalling.
Common questions
What does Idunia read from Apple Health?
On your iPhone, workouts only. The calorie number for a session comes from the workout record itself, not from a separate Apple Health reading. During a run you start on the Idunia Apple Watch app, that app also reads your heart rate, active energy, and distance for that run, to show them on your wrist and in Idunia. Idunia writes to Apple Health only the runs you start on the Idunia Apple Watch app, saved as workouts, and never writes food, weight, cycle, or any other data. On iPhone the import runs while the app is open, catching up on workouts recorded since your last visit, so opening the app is what brings a new session in. You can also pull one on demand from Settings → Training sync → Sync now once Apple Health is connected.
Where does my cycle data live?
Only on your device, as an encrypted file whose key is held by your device's operating system. Idunia never sends your cycle data to our servers, to an AI provider, or to any other company. One thing to know: if you attach a photo or screenshot to the in-app feedback form and it happens to show cycle information, that image reaches our servers as feedback you chose to send, which our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains. Because we never receive your cycle data itself, we cannot restore it for you and we cannot delete it remotely. If you are changing phones, open Backup & Restore in Settings first and save an encrypted backup file protected by a passphrase you choose, then restore it on the new device.
Can I turn off the AI part of meal logging?
Yes. Idunia asks for your permission before it sends anything for AI parsing, and you can decline. The permission covers the meal text you type, a meal photo you submit, the text of a recipe page you share into the app, and the training description you type when you ask for a suggestion. Which of these are available depends on your device. If you change your mind later, the AI meal logging switch under Settings → Privacy & legal turns it off or back on. With it off, you can still log meals by hand, and everything else in the app keeps working.
Is Idunia a medical device?
No. Idunia is a wellness app for tracking nutrition and training. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition, and it is not a substitute for a clinician who knows your history.
The app crashed or will not load.
Force-quit Idunia and open it again, then check your store for an update in case you are on an older version. If it keeps happening, email us with your device model and operating-system version, and what you were doing when it happened.
Something looks wrong in my numbers.
Email us with your account email and a description of what you expected to see. Portion sizes from text and photos are estimates and are always editable, so correcting the grams on a logged item is often the fastest fix.
Policies
Our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explain how the app and your data are handled.
If fueling itself feels hard
This page is for questions about the app. If food, eating, or your relationship with fueling feels stressful or out of your control, our fueling and recovery support page lists free and confidential resources staffed by people who can help. You do not need a diagnosis to reach out.
